He has the best handwriting of any professional athlete I've ever seen. I got his autograph a few times as a kid and was always amazed at how easy it was to read.

He didn't grow his mustache until his second or third pro season. My sisters went to a camp in Cypress Hills in the summer after his rookie season and he was there for some reason. He handed out autographed photos and he didn't have the mustache yet in the photo.

Much is sometimes made about goal scoring in the 80's being "easy".

When Lanny popped 66 in 82-83 it was the third most in NHL history. Like of all the players up to that point... he was 3rd.

Hanna Sniper indeed.

And an even better person than a hockey player!
