Watching the Flames outplay the Caps 5 on 5 has made me a believer that they’re not going to be an easy out in the 1st round for anybody. Still need to make the playoffs, but if/when they do they could play spoilers. For now though, flambé the ducks!

They're not terrible anymore and are just 2 points behind the Blues with a game in hand. Also on a 3 game winning streak beating PIT, NSH and SEA. The Flames have already lost twice to that same group in 5 games played so far.
