Icon47 Caps sign Logan Thompson to a 6 year deal (5.85 AAV)

Great signing. He is 22-2-3 with a 2.09 GAA and 0.925 save percentage. People talk about Hellebuyck this season (0.926 save percentage, 2.02 GAA, 30-7-2) and deservingly so, but I think the Vezina race should be closer IMO. And how he didn't make the 4 nations roster over Montembault I'll never know.

Great signing for Washington. Currently in 1st in the league and he has been the biggest reason why.

Seems like great value... it's probably going to be him or Hellebuyck for the Vezina this year with Markstrom out. I still don't know wtf Canada was doing not even tapping him as an emergency cover for the team - some of the selection decisions lately between that team and the world juniors are mind bottling

Why does Bruce Cassady hate Logan Thompson?

Comparable for Wolf's next deal probably.

27 years old. He doesn't have Wolf's track record, but maybe this contract is a useful comparator for the Flames if they want to negotiate a long-term (ie 8 year) contract with Wolf. Wolf will obviously cost more than Thompson, but maybe this keeps Wolf's number closer to a 7?
