I recall people talking about this back when he first went to Vancouver.

She seems like a pretty disturbed and troubled individual and I feel sorry for her. Obviously DeBrusk needs to be protected here and they are doing the right thing by keeping her away, but she probably is suffering and needs help.

Was I the only one who thought "who the #### would stalk Louie DeBrusk"?

Apparently she moved to Vancouver from Boston too after DeBrusk signed with the Canucks

Yikes
And then she was just turned away at the gates at Climate Pledge in Seattle trying to get into the building for the Canucks game. Terrifying.

She's been stalking DeBrusk for over 8 years as well apparently.

The trick is to buy tickets in other people's name. That way she won't get flagged.

It doesn't seem like a particularly funny issue.

Settle down Louie, you're safe unless you're caught thieving.

If you need a guaranteed way to ditch a stalker just move to Edmonton.

Yeah, I haven’t read anything about them being violent but the whole situation sounds scary. People were commenting that it played a role in him leaving Boston, so the fact that she’s moved to Vancouver is absolutely insane and must be awful for him and his family.

I'd be pretty scared if I was DeBrusk's wife or GF

Even the Reddit thread in the OP ends with the Emoji of 'crying from laughter.'

But yeah...thoughts and prayers.

A client of mine had a stalker once.
At first I thought he was exaggerating; "sure bro, she's that crazy about you!"
We were both in our early 20's so I figured he was just trying to be cool about how much some girl likes him.

Then she showed up to an open house when I was selling his condo. I'll never forget the look on her face when she realized which condo in the building I was selling.
Complete panic & breakdown, like a close family member was just in a serious accident or something.
I had to refuse her entry & texted him to call the police.

It was truly a serious mental disorder and no joke. Hopefully this stalker gets help and Debrusk stays safe.

There's one tweet in the chain that's seriously alarming, basically asking what other girls/ friends of Jake could have that she doesn't?

Serious derangement. I hope that someone is able to help her and that she leaves him the f alone!

I went to high school with a girl who was obsessed with Stefan Edberg. She didn't stalk him or anything, and we all thought it was just a cute fandom thing.
But when he got engaged she was utterly and legitimately shattered in a very alarming way. She had created a fantasy where somehow she thought she was going to meet him and form a relationship with him. She was devastated by the reality of him getting married.

I know a guy who had a stalker and it's wild. Restraining order and all that.

I've come to realize that stalking is form of mental illness; it's not just "omg I love this person so much". It's completely irrational behavior, borderline scary for the victim.
