VGS now has the the best winning percentage in the league, and it's easy to see why. They probably have the best 6-man defensive unit int he NHL, they're big, fast and physical, they have really good depth, they have a good top line, and a great PP. They're top 5 in goals for, and top 10 in goals against.
And they have the best home record in the league.
In a barn that has been nothing short of a house of horrors for the Flames, I thought they actually played a solid and gutsy game last night. They just couldn't create sustained pressure against that D.
Zary needs better line mates. I was thinking Sharangovich was getting close, in the last few games, but he was terrible last night. And I'm not seeing anything from Pelletier, other than 'great team-mate'.

Honzek needs more time in the A, but a line of:
Honzek - Zary - Coronato
might look really good next year.

Vegas top team in the league, and top home team
Calgary on back to back games.
Calgary hung with them, nothing to complain about.
Now come home to play the Canucks minus Hughes and Pettersson.

In all fairness to Pelletier last night, he was moved to the fourth line midway through the second period for Kuzmenko.
Didn't help Zary much.

Tough game to evaluate guys when they were completely unable to generate any offensive zone time

I thought it was a very well played games and at times the Flames had them on their heels. You have to convert on the 5-3. Sharangovich was god awful, killing all plays and even looked sleepy on one pass he shouldn't have been.
Vladar was outstanding.

Didn’t Kuz pass to Zary on pretty much the only noticeable offensive chance all night?
