Legendary surf contest The Eddie Aikau Big Wave Invitational in Waimea Bay, Hawaii is on.

The contest only runs when conditions get large enough (consistent 35-40ft faces). It has only run 10’tikes since its inception in 1984.

The waves right now are big but listening to the current interviews they are saying the waves might double in size over the day. These guys are giddy.

This is the premier event in surfing. Being invited to surf in this contest is the greatest honour a surfer can achieve.
