Which team is the bigger disaster right now, the Sabres or Rangers?

Pretty close, but considering the Rangers were good last season this stretch is extremely ugly. Would not be surprised if PL is let go soon.

I think they just tried to do too much at once. Old logo because people like it, but with orange because they’re in Orange County, plus the previous black and gold even though it clashes with the orange, and duck foot shoulder patches even though they clash with everything else and don’t look great as shoulder patches. Gotta pick a lane.

Laine so far seems like he's in a much better place. Hopefully he can stay healthy and get back that scoring touch that had him be the first teen aged player with 80 goals since like Mario Lemieux.

He screwed Goodrow first. Hockey is a business and people are going to get their nose out of joint now and then, but you don't have to do it the hard/wrong every time.

I don't think Drury screwed around with Trouba or Goodrow. He did what he was allowed to do in the context of their contracts. Both of them had a right to block a trade to a team they didn't want to go to, and both did (Trouba in June). Just like Kadri did when he played for the Leafs. The teams did what their negotiated contracts allowed them to do. It's not a threat. It's a "hey, we want you off our team, and if you don't accept the trade, we can put you on waivers, and that's what we're going to do."


I would rather have them tell the players that then just do it. Kadri blocked the trade to Calgary, foolishly thinking that meant he would stay in Toronto, and the Leafs shrugged and traded him to a team they could. He got a cup out of it, so I'd say it worked pretty well.
