Flames Mailbag: Will Calgary choose to sign or trade Rasmus Andersson?
With Calgary prioritizing youth and the future, many thought they would be closer to a lottery team this year. Instead, thanks to strong goaltending and a great home record, the Flames have been a tough out the vast majority of their first 27 games.
Still, with the Flames prioritizing the big picture, there are plenty of questions about how the rest of this season plays out.
Digging into the building plans for Scotia Place, the Flames’ soon-to-be home arena
We’ve known that the new arena has been coming for awhile. But we didn’t know its name (Scotia Place) or what it would look like until late July at the groundbreaking. And even then, potentially because the designs were being tweaked during the review process with the planning commission, the full version of the plans weren’t publicly available.
Well, with Scotia Place getting its day at City Hall on Thursday for what’s likely to be its final approval from the planning commission, we finally can get a detailed look.
What Happens Next With Flames And Struggling Winger?
Keeping Andrei Kuzmenko in the press box isn't beneficial to the player or the Calgary Flames. The talented but struggling winger is an expiring commodity.
The Flames are in an interesting position, having essentially received Kuzmenko — who scored 39 goals as an NHL rookie just a couple of years ago — as a throw-in asset and salary dump in the Elias Lindholm deal with the Vancouver Canucks last season.

I dont know why the 'C' is on the back but the Locke jersey is pretty sweet!
Also...amongst the vast Pantheon of Flames I have every desire to forget ever wore the Flaming C...gotta say, Olli Jokinen is up there.
Biggest disappointment since Huberdeau at this point.

Lego sure did evolve from where is was a long time ago when it was ...."heres a couple boxes with 150 pcs in each in varying colors....now build something"

Get a W leapfrog the grease and stars even if it is just for 1 day . Stay in the conversation fellas.
Just gotta improve the penalty kill, be more disciplined and its amazing what that alone changes.
