Don't hate it. Coleman however has looked slow, lethargic for some time now. Maybe chemistry with Zary will help that line but I don't hold out hope.

I'd rather they actually just gave Huberdeau-Zary-Sharangovich more than a 4 period run to try to find chemistry.

Our forwards have struggled this year, but the way they have bounced Sharangovich, Pospisil, and Kuzmenko around the line up and around positions (C/LW, RW/LW) has not helped them IMO.

100%

When forwards are trying to get their offensive games going, mixing up their lines every night is hardly the best solution

I like it, but prefer to switch Rooney with Klapka

He’s been a turnover machine at times too.

But to be fair to Huska. Is there any foreseeable way that the production out of our forwards could be worse? It’s almost at a subpro level now. Gets worse every game.

Have to do something. Can’t win every game 2-1 or 1-0 in a shootout. There’s a lot of salary being pumped into that group with almost a negative production if you count short handed goals against.

It's time to put a trigger man who has actually scored this month on RW with Zary and Huberdeau. Let's put Coronato on the top line and see if they might be able to build some chemistry. But give them at least 5 games to do so.

Why not try Lomberg up the lineup and sit one of the strugglers? Give Klapka some playing time.

Lombo’s urgency and jam could help some of the slow pokes. It would also get them involved physically because he’d agitate. Maybe on a line with Pospisil?

I wasn't blaming Huska - he's just trying different things to get them going. If he leaves the lines untouched, and the forwards struggle, he's criticized for that too. It's a no win situation for him. The bottom line is that the forwards have to get going. And they will.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Lomberg with Kadri.

Since the hot start - The Flames rank dead last in the NHL in shooting percentages in all situations at just 6.99% over the last 15 games. We just need a couple bounces to go our and the confidence will start to reemerge.

Me too. But Coleman might be a good fit. He's a net driver, so more Bennett like that Sharky. And Zary is the puck carrier. Both Coleman and Zary can skate decently too.

It might encourage Huska to give Huberdeau more ice time which I think would help, since Coleman is a long shift guy.

Are we creating the HDCF to get those bounces to go our way?

THe TSN power rankings said we play the mos tlow even games in terms of creating.

I think Zary and Pospisil are best together.

Kadri might as well be on the 4th line by himself since he doesnt use his linemates ever.

So I'd try,

Pospisil-Zary-Coronado
Huberdeau-Backlund-Coleman
Sharangovich-Kirkland-Kuzmenko
Lomberg-Kadri-Klapka

Seriously looks good to me.

20th in HDCF/60, and 13th in SCF/60. So roughly middle of the pack in terms of chance generation, but last in SH%.

i'd stick the worst of the strugglers on one line and limit their ice time.

In my mind that's Pospisil, Sharongivich and Coleman

Backlund, Zary, Coronato, Huberdeau when he shows up, Kadri and Kuzmenko are still generating offense.

Kuzmenko needs a triggerman. He’s been setting guys up continuously who fire it into the upper deck.

A poor group of shooting forwards. The 4th line and our D score all of our goals. Or goal depending on the game.
