Marchment with the high hit from behind on Nate Schmidt, the second time already today that Schmidt was hit from behind. Panthers lose it on Marchment as he's been an a-hole for two straight games with little elbows and punches and dirty hits now. Bennett and Tkachuk leading the charge to smash Marchment.

Reinhart ices it with the empty netter. Panthers sweep the back to back series against Dallas, now winning 5 in a row. They're now 9-3-1 on the season, which is impressive since they've only played 4 at home so far. What's a Stanley Cup Hangover?

This looked a little like a preview of the Stanley Cup Final. Both teams look pretty good to start the year, and these games were both very close and hard fought.

Chicago is brutal. Another last place finish coming up Even the Sharks have shown some signs of life, and progression from a few players. If anything the Hawks have regressed. Mrazek has been their MVP this year! Is Bedard in a sophomore slump, or is the rest of the team to blame?

Kings score as I type this... Hawks with 7 shots on net after two periods.
