Default Tasteless Seravalli Article

Didn't see this posted, and didn't want to post within the Johnny sub.

But this is really tasteless. He has since changed it, but man, what a piece of sh%%

What on earth? Sums up a lot of his reporting. He's no Tolstoy, so I hope he's just made a mess of what he meant to say, but yikes.

Classic Seravalli—raising the bar for low expectations.

What was he thinking? Seriously

Even if worded better, no need. They are a bad team. No need to mention him in a article like that, no need for a reminder of the horrible tragedy, no one has forgot...

Didn't like Frank before and this certainly doesn't help with that. Completely tasteless.

Oh I know. He fixed and reposted it. But the inital one should never have made it through. What a brutal shot from the hip though and lack of judgement from someone who makes his living doing what he does

No to get sidetracked, but it is also tasteless that he said the Oilers would win the cup.

Remember everyone, these guys are just playing characters and you’re actually weird for having emotional reactions to anything they say.

Yeah that person who tweeted that cut out a line. Frank may have also forgotten it or added it? Who knows. Still, not worth getting upset about. His intention is pretty clear.

Interestingly - most commenters on his feed that are NOT commenting on the Gaudreau post are Oilers fans. Man, they love the smell of their own farts.

Come on we talk about the hockey gods all the time - it’s obvious he means help from JG from heaven / higher power / etc

It’s a weird way to post it , and probably a dumb idea , but if Columbus wins the lottery I assure you a lot of “Johnny was looking down on them “ type comments would exist

Help an older guy out ...

I personally wouldn't include a recent tragedy in a puff piece hockey article, so I get that.

The mention of Gaudreau in said article is a little insensitive to his family having to see the name and potentially causing them to go through another tough day.

So that's it though right?

I wouldn't do it, but I guess I don't see it as big of deal that some are suggesting unless I'm missing something (reasons I outlined are enough to now do it, or at very least have it caught by editors).

Hoping not to get piled on ... just don't see it as quite the abomination that some are suggesting.

Seems like we live in a world now where we race to be outraged.

I was just going to post something similar. It would have been better to not write it the way he did, but I don't think there was any sort of evil intent and came about from poor judgement on his part.
