Constable John MacLeod said in an email to The Canadian Press that investigators are still gathering evidence, speaking with people who may have relevant information and looking for ways to advance the investigation.

He said sexual assault investigations, particularly historical ones, are complex, but added there is no statute of limitations.

The incident under investigation is alleged to have occurred in Halifax during the 2003 world junior hockey championship and involved members of Canada’s team.

I worked with someone that billeted players in the WHL. Went to a gala once. Heard the stories about ‘pucks.’

Expect a flood gate of investigations IMO. The misogyny was widespread. Not sure how much was criminal, but stories I heard from players were pretty bad.

I sadly agree. This is just the start of these investigations IMO. No one who had been around Jr hockey is likely that shocked.

True. Some players have had rumours around them in the past. I wouldn't want to speculate that Joffrey Lupul, or any other player specifically was one of those guys. That would be wrong.

Weird to me that it would take 21 years
