Wonder if this means someone might be on the way out?

It is kind of weird that Barrie gets a PTO but he gets an actual deal

TWO-WAY contract. Likely depth and minor league help.

Yes, Jarred Tinordi, to the Wranglers.

Kind of a strange signing due to his age and no upside.

I guess Barrie wouldn't accept a two-way contract? Kinda makes signing him the PTO redundant no?

Barrie wants a chance to show off that he can still be a positive difference maker. If he works out he will likely sign here but he wants to keep things open to readily jump to a playoff contender if one of them pays attention and thinks that he can help them out.

I feel like him and Hanley probably fight for the same spot. Or Solovyov doesn’t have a good camp and doesn’t make it.

At the end of the day, Jarred Tinordi won’t steal anyone important’s spot

How many D are too many for camp?

I think he will still count as an NHL vet as far as preseason. He's also big 6'6", 230lbs. That's all I got.

I still think that Pachal, Solo and Hanley are better options as a 6/7/8 D, so he's likely going to the Wranglers.

Maybe signed to push the young guys. If Barrie really is on a PTO as well, this could make the youngsters really crank up the effort and focus. So if that's the case, I don't mind this. And the Wranglers could use a good stay-at-home defenseman like Tinordi.

Wranglers need some good Veteran bodies. And you have a cheap NHL callup that can eat popcorn if there's injuries. Don't see the problem.

Actually the speculation from Steinberg and Gilbertson was that the Flames will pay Barrie more than league min if he made the team.
