I went last year to the flames oilers game and it was a lot of fun, beautiful little arena they have in Penticton. The crowd was really into it and the kids play with a ton of intensity. I also met a Canucks 2023 draft pick and his dad at the game, we chatted a bit and what a super nice family.
Highly recommend going to this if anyone is in the area

Gigity. Booked a hotel in April for that weekend anticipating that was going to be the weekend. Really looking forward to this year with all the potential prospects coming on board.

Enjoy! Penticton also has a ton of local breweries if that’s your thing and they are great. Obviously the wineries are a big draw too so get ready for a weekend of booze.

I love this tournament. For me it is the unofficial start to the season. I have gone almost every year (expect for those Red Deer years). Great town and things to do, it is just the Oiler fans that mess things up.

I feel like I'd be open to having Seattle be part of this too. Brings some more depth into the tournament and regionally, it would make sense to have Seattle there as well. I understand it's only Canadian teams, but I'd be open to this. Just my two cents though!

The Sharks participated for a couple years IIRC.
Seattle would fit better geographically than San Jose.

I think more than 4 teams would make it hard to schedule and ensure each team gets enough games. Adding Seattle would likely only happen if they dropped the Jets.

I think this year will be a decent squad, but I think next year the fruit of the drafts will really be on display when this year's draft class is a year older and next year's added. It'll be a fun stretch of Prospect watching.
