My B and C lists aren't that far apart, I just have a bit more confidence in the B list. For that reason, going with Hurtig here, then maybe Yegorov.

I dunno, he looked pretty bad. Maybe he had already mentally checked out knowing he was going back home next season, but he's a guy whose return I would not anticipate.

The fact that he'll be playing in Russia for the next two seasons automatically drops him off the list for me. In my mind, he's not a Flames prospect anymore.

But we just recently dropped a 5th for him? We would discard him that easily?

It's not us discarding him. He chose to sign a two-year deal in the KHL.
He could decide to come back when that contract is up and he'd still be an RFA whose rights are owned by the Flames, but until that happens, I'm not penciling him into any future plans.
Most of the time, when a fringe NHLer signs a multi-year deal in the KHL, that's the last we ever hear from him on this side of the Atlantic.

Ciana again for like the 6th time. Yall literially taking career KHL'ers over a guy that could see bottom 6 time this season

Ciona had 6 points in the AHL this year. His upside is extremely limited with numbers like that

Went Huŕtig, but starting to believe Ignatjew should be higher based off starter potential.

I bet next year Hoskin rises up the prospect ranks.

I have absolutely no idea where to rank Hoskins. Overager in a low league, so his highlight packages better show him as an all-star. I trust the Flames' scouts - it isn't about thinking he is a bust at all - I just have absolutely no idea how to rank him, and him being injured and not participating in last month's camp didn't help to shed any light. He is the biggest (and incredibly intriguing) mystery box right now.
There are a handful of other players worth it at this point too. Went with Ignatjew.
Okhotiuk I would still consider a Flames' prospect, if for no other reason than he came over as a kid and tried to make a go of it. There is a bigger chance he returns here than Karnaukhov, for instance. Okhotiuk already got a taste of the NHL, so I think he is more likely to return based on that, but who knows. Him going to the KHL has lowered him in my rankings to be sure.
