4-5 player race for this one. Spots 12-17 will be a crapshoot. And the fact that we still have legit prospects as we get to #17 (?!) is crazy.

Getting tougher. Went Grushnikov since he really seems to have all the tools to round out a defensive group.
Suniev is next. I think he's going make that Toffoli trade look especially golden in a couple years.

Mews for me. He was solidly in 2nd place on his team in scoring last season, while being a D, and being the only 17 year old in the team's top 8 in scoring. I think he has the potential to be a very good producer at the NHL level.
As for Grushnikokv - I have Solovyov ranked higher, but Mews I believe will probably end up having the better career out of them given his ability to put up points while not being undersized.

Mews for me. Misa, Battaglia, Suniev up next. Also, I Think some people are sleeping on Kuznetsov, as I see him same tier as Solovyov and Grushnikov but hasn't garnered votes yet

Looks like I'll be voting Jacob "Battlestar Gallactica" Battaglia as a longterm upside projection (vs NHL readiness) for a bit...
(admitted fabricated nickname, of course, as just noticed his name is like a shortform of Battlestar Gallactica...probably.)
I can really see Grushnikov here - hard not to get excited for a true shutdown/play-killing d-man with his potential to be a pillar on our blueline...
Strongly considered here: Crushnikov (shutdown D) with Mews, and then Suniev & Misa also garnering some consideration.
As adapted from Cali Panthers Fan - update fwiw...

Went Misa.
He's probably 3-4 years away from making the NHL (if ever), but he has a really interesting skill set. Feels like he has a high ceiling, but probably a low floor.

Went Mews. Have been voting for him for a while.
Grushnikov is closer to NHL action though. But Mews upside has been kind of sort of overshadowed by his draft brethren.

Looks like Grush will win here. Voted for him for 5 rounds. Klapka next for me, similar season to Stromgren, good production and freaking huge.

Mews.
I’m still in shock that he dropped to us, and that our prospect pool on D is so deep that Mews gets forgotten behind the likes of Parekh, Bruz, Morin, and Poirier. I’ve watched Mews play, and I think he could one day make an excellent top-pairing D- although perhaps not on this team because of our amazing depth. He might be another Bruzustewicz this season, and be one of the league leaders in scoring for D. Don’t underrate this kid.
