Look at Savard even who was in a similar role as this chick.

Her getting hated on by her own fans would be par for course with the role.

Great news. A lot of women dedicate themselves and work just as hard as men, so it’s nice to see more being able to get good positions and make decent livings from it. Hopefully more opportunities come up in the future.

"This chick" is no different than saying "this dude." These words themselves mean literally nothing. It's only what precedes or follows them that shapes the intention of their use, and clearly there was no evil intention behind the particular post you've referred to.
