Nice, congrats TJ!
I thought the Toronto media were pretty unfair to him and Gio

Wow....good for him.
I think he is done as an NHLer but clearly Chicago sees something there.

Hope he does enough to help them finish higher than the Flames. Go TJ!

Good for Brodie. If he has a a good year he might be flipped sooner to a competitive team but in the meantime he gets a nice payday and gets to play in a big mark any with one of the games brightest young stars

People have been saying he was done last year - is Chicago taking their time coming out of their tank?

Brodie will give the 'Hawks time to bring Kaiser, Roos, or Phillips along more slowly.

So brodie couldn't play in the playoffs on one of the worst D lineups in the playoffs but Chicago gives him 7.5 million....makes sense.

It's not like Chicago is in any danger of making the playoffs.
One of the worst teams in the playoffs still = above average in the league.

So in the regular season, he played 78 games
21:48 per game, second only to Morgan Reilly his D partner who got PP time
His + 17 was 4th on the team
As for the playoffs, who knows. Maybe he was hurt. Maybe the coach started playing ‘smartest guy in the room’ and did something very different from what worked all season, I wasn’t watching closely
He’s 34. It’s only 2 years. This isn’t a bad player and it’s not a bad deal

They're still rebuilding, he's cheap filler and won't get in the way of any prospects.
