Isn’t that the player Toronto wanted back for sign and trade?

Weird deal. You’d think they’d want something future related and not take money back. Wonder if this is related to the Marner situation. Probably worried about offer sheet.

What is Nashville doing? Hague isn’t very good. Lauzon is better than Hague. That contract is brutal.

Does Vegas get any cap relief from this?

Seems pretty light return for Hague.
Edit: Maybe not since the contract was expensive and Lauzon is probably better than I thought

Sissons and Lauzon combined is $4.8M. If this allows Vegas to move out Roy then the savings start to add up a little bit. Not really enough to make a huge add.

Based on contract, Hague and Bahl are in the same tier
That’s about right so far, Bahl has more potential though

Bahl averaged 21 min a night and Hague averaged 16, and struggled in those 16 min. They are paid like they are in the same tier, but Hague isn't close to being as good as Bahl. Jake Bean is a better defenseman than Nic Hague.

seems like Vegas got two similar level depth players and this contract for Hague is stinky? I don't really understand this from Nashville

I don't think there is any question Bahl is better than Hague.
Better, younger, more upside, and we got 6 years instead of 4.
Not even close as to which deal is better.
