Default Wireless Headphones

For Christmas this year I got a pair of Sony wireless headphones. After a couple of days of playing around and testing them, I've come to the conclusion that they are absolute GARBAGE! Every time I move my head I get static. Forget about walking around the house. No matter how close I am sitting to the receiver, no matter how still I'm sitting, the signal can be completely clear and all of a sudden for no apparent reason I get a big blast of static noise in my ear. I swear I nearly chucked them out of my 21st story apartment window last night. Absolute crap.

But anyways, enough ranting, I'm returning them to the store tomorrow and have no idea what I'm going to buy as a replacement. Does anyone here have experience with a good set of wireless headphones? They don't have to be outstanding sound quality, but all I ask is NO static. It makes listening unbearable. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks CPer's.

this will likely make you laugh, but 2 years ago, i bought a set of 'jensen' from xscargo, and they work great. i had to tweak the setting, but once i did that, it has been great everywhere, even to the garage!

they have a nice sound to them too.

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

If they're for use with an ipod, London Drugs had the logitech blue tooth ones with controls on the side for only $80. They're usually about $150-$200.
For multipurpose ones, I would likely try senheisers. Don't have any myself, but I know they're almost always great. Sony headphones tend to always be a let down IMO.

I bought RCA wireless headphones for indoor use from XSCargo for $20 and they work really well. A small tweak to the tuning and I'm set to walk around the apartment from room to room without signal loss. I use them for watching television while my wife sleeps beside me and have had zero problems with them. Go to XSCargo and get the RCA wireless headphones that DO NOT include a charger. Those ones are uncomfortable and cost too much.

I have a Sony one, it's a two-way receivers setup and you plug in ordinary headphones on the small one running on a AAA battery, then you clip it on your shirt/belt/whatever and it gets the signal from the big one plugged into the TV/Stereo, works great for me.

Holy crap. Wireless headphones? Had I known of the existence of this wonderful device, my relationship with the ex might not have ended in ruin.

On the other hand, meh.

Bluetooth is a personal network with limited range... But you get great sound from a good bluetooth headset. Up to 24ft away.
