Most wonderful time of the year

Honzek pokes in the loose puck on the PP and it’s 3-1 Slovakia. He’s been fairly quiet otherwise.

Nice 2nd assist for Honzek a couple shifts after sending Repcik in for what would become a penalty shot, he’s been strokg in the 3rd

The ice is terrible at this arena in Goteborg. Teams having trouble with passes, puck carrying, turning. Hopefully it improves as the tournament goes on.

Jesse Pulkkinen looks good. 6'6'' and offensively skilled d-man, will be very surprised if he doesn't get drafted this year

Reminds me of Zadorov. Nice assist on Finland’s second goal.

USA is not doing that well against Norway IMO. 3-1. That was a nice shorty by Norway.

The Slovak hockey program has roared back to life the past few years. Love to see it. Miro Satan and co have done a great job.

Slovak hockey's been on the upswing the past 4-5 years. The 2004/05 age group is pretty strong.

It was sad seeing basically an entire generation of Slovakian talent age out of the NHL with basically no talent coming into the league to replace them, now all of a sudden you're had several promising youngsters come in and make an impact the last handful of seasons and it's been really nice to see. I'm sure the Olympic medal is only going to help their program's continued resurgence as well.
