The Tuesday OOT is early today. Hwy19man is busy in Vancouver and
will be going to the Lightning-Canucks game. Live updates from that game
are expected.

Gotta say the Leafs-Rangers game should be a good one.
We may want to mute the Bedard-McDavid commentary, it will be over the top.

I invite all you temporary Blackhawk fans on board for tonight's game! Unfortunately, we will, once again, be sticking an AHL level defense out there, and hoping that Mrazek activates God mode. Offensively, it will be down to grinders to create chances. Bedard has been no better than OK, as he is learning that he can't, single-handedly, dangle his way to NHL goals, although he has had some success setting up Kurashev. Special teams wise, we gotta stay away from our PP, an anemic 10.2% with 5 SH goals allowed, and our wretched 77% PK. Plumbers Dickenson/Anderson/Foligno have been our hottest line, lately. And twice last week, against Anaheim 1-0, and the Blues 3-1, Mrazek was the entire story.

On the bright side, the Hawks look like they will have a crack at one of the top D men in the draft come summer.

It is not that they need another D Man, but, they need some experienced D-Men. Korchinski, 19, is out tonight. So they have a couple of 22 yos, Phillips, Crevier, and Vlasic, with Roos (24) all with limited NHL experience. Jones 29, is the best we have, and he is ofen saddled with a raw rook to have to cover for, Zaitzev (32) is a 5/6 journeyman, who makes little impact, and Murphy (30) is a goddawful pylon.

If they can develop any 4 of the youngsters without ruining them, there is hope for improvement in the future without having to add another teenager.

Meanwhile, up in Edmonton, apparently an 18 year old Conner can't possibly match a 28 year old Conner who has been in the NHL for 10 years. I hate that team.

The Penguins and Coyotes are tied 2-2 after forty minutes. All four goals have been from special teams play, one shorthanded goal and three power play goals.
