My prediction is 3-2 Colorado. Goals by Tanev and Sharangovich. Huby with a single assist. Vladar looks good but two out of the three goals are not his fault. Three penalties against the Flames, and I also predict either team gets a video review of a goal that gets called back.

not an auto-loss, the Avs looked poor against the Flyers on the weekend. They aren't getting much lately outside of MacKinnon and are playing around .500

Every game I've seen between the Flames and Avs in the post-gaudreau era tells me otherwise. Biggest mismatch I've seen on the ice for this group.

I think their lone win was game 1 or 2 last season, but early October games can be misleading and I think COL had Mackinnon out.

With their top dogs in the flames are in tough.

Would love to be wrong.
