Just before the game, the tweets were saying Zadorov requested an extension to keep his family here and the Flames brass were not interested. Conflicting information but it could be that after seeing the Flames were not interested, they are being proactive.

Yeah, I don't buy it. I think Weekes saw his agent's exchange on Twitter with the Leafs fan and took it out of context. Crazy how the media is running with it now. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

He’s not saying this because of those tweets. He openly states that he has been informed that Z has requested a trade through his agent.
Not “I saw some tweets, I believe Z has requested a trade”
