Default Question for those that own NHL Eastside Manager 2005...

I recieved it for Xmas.

However, I am wondering if the new features and design are worth the price?

I have 2004, and am ~25 years into a game, and am veryy happy with it.

As I say, I want to know if it is worth dropping for in favour of the new game.

Thoughts?

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

Yes.

I liked it a lot better, they've got the cap in now, and a lot of the new rules. It is good stuff.

I also like 2005. The cap sure changes the way you manage your team. When I switched I had to be 15 years into a career. Now I am only in 2009 because playing the flames and Omaha really slows down the process. Great game and very addicting

I like it alot more as well, it seems way more polished and runs abit quicker than the last day to day. I wish the cap would shift year to year though, it being stagnant kinda sucks. I like the trade process being tough to navigate and the game overall is so addictive. Only thing that makes the game a little easy is that signing free agents seems a bit weak. Instead of a bidding war everyone makes one offer and the player controlled team wins out more often then not. Kinda like how easy it was to trade for the 1st overall pick in the last one, but the franchise is steadily improving.

I downloaded this game, the trial, and I can't figure it out!

I guess I'll have to spend more time in it. Good thing it's vacation for me, or else once I get addicted there could be problems.
