Another year of game stories?
Hey gang,
Just checking the temperature for game stories again this year.
Don't need to comment ... just a quick vote to see how many actually read them.
Thanks!

100000% yes.
The discussion in those threads is some of the best pure hockey talk on CP, rivaled only by the non-Oiler OTT thread.
At the end of the day, it's up to you. It's your time and not an insignificant commitment on your behalf. If you still enjoy writing them, I will read them.

Thanks for voting.
Looks like 55% reads them a lot (of who answered clearly), and 68% if you include "sometimes"

Living outside of the local Calgary timezone I often miss the end of games as it just gets too late for me on work nights. I read the summaries in the morning to understand what I missed. Sort of like the old morning newspaper in a pre-internet era.

I mostly read them after wins, to keep the good feeling going.

I’m usually the opposite. I like reading up on why we faltered. And usually, Bingo points out some things I missed when watching, or some advanced stats that tell a story.

As someone who lives on the east coast and watches the games the morning after out of the corner of my eye at work I find your game stories extremely valuable to get a sense of the game. TV Talking heads rarely actually care about the Flames. Podcasters tend to be aggressively negative and care more about get a sound bite for their social media.
Your stories give an honest, unbiased, and by numbers account of what went down. It’s very much appreciated

I avoid the PGT's after losses - the game stories' threads are where you can go to have/read a post-game discussion that isn't over-the-top negative.

I always feel better after reading them . I only disagree 0001.000 % of the time after reading em because I'm a crochety old bugger that wants 1 more cup in his lifetime .
Heartbroken in 86
On top of the world in 89
2004 still stings

Being able to have the time to sit down and watch a whole hockey game in one night has eluded me for a few years now. Highlights are great, but I really appreciate the game stories to be able to give more nuance to the happenings with the team.

I try to do the same, or at least take a deep breath and either post the next day, or try to post things I liked/noticed about some of the players' games.
I'm not a fan of throwing someone under a bus and just blaming one or two guys for a loss. I also got tired of calling for a rebuild. Now I'm just here to support the team, and hope for the best.

Woohoo! Thanks for all the work you do on those game stories Bingo. I was on CP long before I had an account and I have always looked forwards to your Game Takes. It's nice to read someone else's well thought out opinions on how a game went and I really appreciate all the time you put into those stories.

Your stories are a nice level-headed, unemotional take after a loss that focuses on the Flames and their opponent and contrasts to the PGT on CP and bumps to the Sam Bennett and this season, Matthew Phillips threads. Please keep it going!

Whether or not you read the game stories, your participation in the poll can help Bingo.
I open pretty much every thread just to see what people are saying. For example, I'm not all that interested in the "legend" of Sam Bennett. And I don't think Flame fans would really care about Tij Iginla any more than anyone else we might get in the draft if not for his last name. But I still read them.
But you're right, maybe some didn't open the thread and the poll is off. Who knows!
