$31 USD is $42.08 CAD. Cheapest I'm seeing on ticketmaster.ca is $49.20 way up top, but only a few. Close.

I'm genuinely surprised Vegas is so up there, but I guess I shouldn't be.

Honestly pretty cool to see hockey work there as well as it has.

Enjoy it while you can Flames fans. The new building will ensure your cheap seats are expensive.

At least you guys don’t ever have to worry about a post-cup bump in prices.

This is priced in USD. Seats deep in PL sections often get super cheap a few hours before the puck drops. Check out apps like StubHub, FansOnly, SeatGeek for potential discounts.

I think you're thinking of a different kind of website here

That's what happens when you hide your bookmarks in the "sports tickets" tab so your wife won't check it

Press level though...most stadiums don't even have seats that far away

I feel like this is the same price I was paying 25 years ago for the cheapest Dome tickets I could find on game day.

That's exactly it. Top of the 300's is an awful place to watch a hockey game. You feel like Zoolander looking down at the school for ants. Not only that, if you lean forward you feel like you're going to fall 20 rows and break your neck.

In the new arena, those seats aren't going to be replaced by more expensive ones. They just won't exist.

You can't really throw resale figures into the equation for an exercise like this....That's an aberration as a single seat ticketmaster resale. The cheapest actual seat on ticketmaster is $66 and anything decent is $105+ for the top corner of the second bowl (most second level seats are going for $150-$200). There isn't really anything I would qualify as a bargain anywhere.

At any rate, $66 for the near top of the nosebleeds is pretty bad imo. It is only worth sitting way up there if its a big game and the seats are a bargain and that is not a bargain. Based on what you're getting up there those seat should definitely not be over $45-$50.

The current plan for the new stadium may yield as few as 18,000 seats, which is 1200ish less than the current Saddledome. Seems strange to me, as they could easily match or exceed the capacity of Rogers Arena, which has no really bad seats.

Perhaps right now they are worried about not selling out? Seems shortsighted, as the Flames are in a slump, the economy is a mess, and Calgary remains one of the fastest growing cities in North America. An extra 2k seats, might come in handy in the future.

Yeah but this way they can put in one less bathroom.

Less seats in a two bowl configuration for sure makes a bunch of sense. Sports teams generally are getting away from 'nose bleed seats', and are reducing capacity. TMobile and UBS Arenas both seat under 18000 for hockey. It's also important for all those seats to be usable for other events.

As well, remember that there were years where (other than the first three rows) the 300s weren't sold, either because the seats weren't in place yet (in the 1st few years the building was open) and in the late 90's early 2000's (cause they weren't close to selling out)
