Went Klapka here.
I like Kerins, but in my biased little viewing of development camp, Klapka feels closer to the NHL and playing a meaningful role ongoing.

Going Klapka again. Great size, great skater, great shot. I am betting that he is still growing into his body (really tall guys are often uncoordinated for a little longer too). I think he can turn into an impact bottom 6 type.
Kerins has too many question marks right now given his rocky start in the pros. Hopefully he will turn this around this year and skyrocket to the top 10 in next summer's poll, but for now, I have a few other guys still ahead of him.

Tell me about Parker Bell? How is his skating? What type of player is he?

I never watched him play but bell sounds like a grind em out, work hard, big beat and potatoes kind of guy.

Will be going Pettersen once Klapka is off the board. Would have gone with him over Schwindt, Ciona and Kerins as well

I watched him play last season in Spokane as Tri-Cities and the Chiefs are rivals. I focused on him and Dragicevic as they were clearly the best two players for the Americans.
Bell has good size and I was impressed with his skating as someone who still has a long way to fill out his frame. I was pleasantly surprised with the clear amount of skill (stick handling, board work, reading and anticipating the play) and a nice wrister that he wasn’t afraid to use from a variety of spots in the offensive zone.
It will be interesting to see if he goes pro or goes back to the dub as a 20 year old. I could see him spending the year between the Wranglers and Rapid City to get playing time or going back to the WHL and dominating. If he goes back to Tir-City I could see him getting dealt to a team with Memorial cup aspirations.

Kerins and maybe Nikolaev next, but after that I'm revisiting picks in this year's draft.
Hurtig
Lipinski
Yegorov

Brady Lyle is probably ranked later, but he is a 6'3", 211 lbs RHD that had 31 pts in 51 games with the Springfield Thunderbirds (the AHL affiliate for St. Louis). Granted he is 24 years old but he'd probably closer to the NHL than a lot of the names left.

Take out guys like Nodler, Koumintzis and Boltman who had shown no progress since drafted and put the rest in a hat and draw numbers

I think I told myself at one point I would start pivoting to Parker Bell, but going instead with the very young goalie

I've been going Emilio-Petterson for several rounds now. Still think this player is underrated in our organization, especially with the Philips departure. He'll get a bigger role on the Wranglers this year and I hope he surprises.

Klapka. Kerins has to prove he can play in the AHL at this point. Klapka then Lipinski.

Voted Kerins in the 3-way vote, he lost so I go back to Klapka. Would love if Klapka forced Calgary's hand and got on the team. A bottom 6 of Ruzicka/Coleman/Duehr/Klapka would be something.

Voting Emilio for 4th round in a row. He's a good Puck carrier and has an nhl shot. Has developed in each year in the AHL, might be getting close to his last chance to break into the nhl.
