$4.5M? Good GMs make mistakes. He's pretty one dimensional and can't be physical. Takes a beating but doesn't really help the team. 2nd or 3rd line player ideally.

Great signing, people hate on him too much, a 50-65 point player with his aggressive play for 4.5 in the prime of his career is a great great deal

Can’t complain about the cap hit or the term. Shrewd signing by the Hurricanes.

He might have hurt his value in the playoffs, though.
