Only rankings that matter are the standings never understood the interest in a power ranking

What a random collection of rankings. Is this supposed to be standings? Brutal take all around.

Here are JFresh's rankings. He did predict Boston last year, also had Vegas in the playoffs etc.

Meaningless summer discussion. The NHL always has surprises every year. It has been the same story in Calgary for the last decade where this team has been on a fairly consistent yo-yo. One offseason this team is painted as a contender then they underwhelm and bounce back the following year and overachieve. Outside of not being able to keep the core together or a stable coach, the good one year, bad the next narrative has been beyond frustrating.

That's usually close to how the "ease of schedule" rankings look. Are we sure it's not based on that?

I can't believe SN did not have their fav franchise #1. Even though 3 is laughable as is.

Weren’t we ranked top 5 last year? We flip flop, time for us to win the conference this year.

Boston won't even make the playoffs. Their #1 C is now Zacha.

Off-season champs every year since they drafted Hall. It's no longer a question of how many, suddenly it's looking like when.

It's the McDavid factor. Now that Eichel has won a cup it will be the belief that McDavid is owed his cup. Oilers still have some gaping holes but could go a o ng way just on their PP. Hard to bet against them doing well in the regular season unless injuries hit McDavid or Draisaitl. One of them goes out for a period of time or the PP doesn't run at 30% efficiency and they're in tough.

Is it 100% confirmed that Bergeron and Krejci are not coming back? If that is the case I agree. Toronto, Tampa, Florida are still strong and Buffalo, Ottawa and Detroit are knocking on the door. The Habs will be trash and the only team I think the Bruins will be a clear step ahead of unless their players run it back one more year.

I heard Boston has tried to convince them to return but with no luck.
