11. Zach Benson

Had him at 6. I had a bunch of picks and traded the later ones as I had an early tee time. Kept 11 and made a top 11 list going for ceiling over floor and had Benson at 6th on my list. Was very pleasantly surprised at getting benson at 11. I have a lot of belief he can hit, we will see where he goes on draft day.

He will be one of the more interesting players to watch.

His stick-checking on the defensive side and offensive wizardry is pretty incredible.

The question will be whether he can figure it all out in the NHL where guys are all 30 to 50 lbs heavier.

I had him pretty low on my list. It wasn’t his lack of skating or size but when I watched him I just never saw any game changing ability. He was on a stacked team and I felt a lot of his points were just ice time and right place, right time. I’m sure I’m wrong but I just couldn’t see a top 10 pick out of him

Great value pick at 11! He will be fun to watch develop.

Benson goes to Buffalo at 13. Not really too surprised, I thought he was a wild card in that he could’ve went as early as 5 but as late as 15. In terms of the landing spot, Buffalo has a deep pipeline so it may be hard to crack that lineup, but if he does he should have lots of guys to play with. My arguably two best 21 and under assets in quinn and benson both belong to Buffalo, as well as Krebs, so I’m hoping the future is bright there
