A presser to announce nothing is happening?

I am fine with the Flames staying out of the free agency frenzy and holding tight on trades for now, but no real need to announce it in a presser. Conroy is probably worried about fan outrage, but I don't think he needs to. I think most fans understand the situation.

Also, can't hear any of the questions.

There are members of the media in the saddledome since early this morning. This presser is just to give them an update on what is going on so they can file their articles or tv segments.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the flames announce a depth signing at some point anyways. As in an AHL type signing.

In I think the 2017 off season the flames made no big signings but signed Marek Hrivik who ended up being an AHL/call up
