It's bad PR to have someone associated with ownership to be involved in something like this, but as a 5% non-managing owner, I don't see the franchise facing any consequences over it.

The opposition of the Tempe Entertainment District will certainly eat up the news and spit it out as though he has a major part of the team. He hasn't been involved since 2019.. whatsoever.

Well he was the old majority shareholder as recently as 2019, so not like he can completely be glossed over a just a guy that owns 5%.
