It feels like price have come down. That's too bad, the Flames may have missed their chance to sell high. There are only so many key assets and 1st round picks for contending teams to move (not that Bonino was going to fetch a first).

Really outside of the Jeannot trade prices were somewhat normal.

For most major pieces the prices have been a 1st and a 2nd.

IMO it was less the returns that were surprising, and more just the sheer volume of moves.

Calgary's best chance at grabbing a first remains with Carolina, who still have it and haven't made a major addition. Any of Toffoli or Backlund or Lindholm would likely be able to snag it.

Lindholm for a late first would be ridiculously bad

The rumours out of Carolina is they don’t want to trade their first round pick. Rumours out of Calgary want to do a hockey trade instead of futures.

Yes, if Lindholm was the one going back I would only assume their 1st would be part of a larger package. Just saying those are the only three players that might pry that first away from Carolina.

Some great 30-plus pickups for the Pens this deadline! That'll push them over the top.

I wish Calgary could get involved in moves like this if they are not doing anything big. They have the cap space and there are picks that can be had in this situation.
