Travel Advice: Algeria

Might have to head there for two weeks for work and then maybe tour around for a few days afterwards on my own.

Anyone been there? Advice?

Wish I'd spent far more time in Algeria and less in Morocco.

Depending where you;'ll be and how much free time you have: The roman ruins in Djemila are really something. They're just outside of Constantine (like-Calgary to-Airdrie distance, as I recall.) I skipped on M'Zab and still regret it nearly a decade later, it's quite a ways south.

Yeah I saw this story, crazy stuff. I had no idea relations between Morocco and Algeria were so bad.

Probably a good example of why the Canadian government recommends people stay 50 km away from that border.
