5 THINGS - FLAMES VS. FLYERS

Next up is a three-game road swing with stops in Arizona, Vegas and finally Colorado.

But, as mentioned, first things first: get another big two points and get on the plane with a pair of consecutive wins to keep building on as they drive down the stretch with their eyes set squarely on a playoff berth.

"You know, being in that spot where we are in the standings we need these points," said Jonathan Huberdeau after the team's practice on Sunday. "We're gonna take advantage of this homestand, certainly wasn't too long, but you know, we got the first one now, we want the second one before we get on the road.

Flames host the Flyers after overtime win

BOTTOM LINE: The Philadelphia Flyers visit the Calgary Flames after the Flames defeated the New York Rangers 3-2 in overtime.

Calgary has a 15-10-2 record at home and a 25-19-11 record overall. The Flames are 10th in the league serving 10.2 penalty minutes per game.

Philadelphia has gone 11-11-7 in road games and 22-24-10 overall. The Flyers rank eighth in the league serving 10.4 penalty minutes per game.

Prediction, Preview, and Odds

The Flyers are having a season to forget with their offense letting them down, scoring only 2.67 goals per game with only eight goals in the last four games.

The Flames are having a great season with their offense stepping up and scoring 3.14 goals per game with 15 goals in the last four games.

Winnable game, so go out and win it.

In the Flames favor, they have a great record in matinee games against the Flyers. Mostly in Philly, but still.

More importantly, they have a great record in matinees overall this season. Expecting a big dub. GFG!!

It's my birthday game today but my age can't possibly be incorporated into a hockey score. More like the score of a Grey Cup game.

Afternoon game versus what is a lesser opponent- does not seem like a recipient for success for the hometown squadron

Flames should come out flying and win this game for no other reason than doing it for Tanev . Watching that clip of a dejected Tanev taking the blame a couple games ago was disheartening. He’s the last guy that should feel bad about effort.

The cycle of one good game than one bad game has to end soon. Or the Flames will be booking tee times.

Start today.

Pair of lower bowl tickets available!
FV = $500+

All I ask is a donation to the children’s hospital, either direct or through me.

Great game to take a young kid, preference to parents today!

Msg me your donation amount.

Cheers

That's a bad hockey team over there in Philly. Torts has them playing hard most of the time but they just suck so this should be win. But with the Flames you never know, probably going to make it way harder than it should be anyway.
