Default December 29 with eleven games!

The Thursday OOT is nice and busy. The Central Divsion has all but
one team playing and the Pacific Division has three teams in action.

Barkov with a 1st period hat trick. Safe to say he's coming back into his own after struggling earlier

There are plenty of close OOT gamesexcept for the Panthers mauling the Habs 7-2.

Natural hat trick and 5 points on the night, and now the franchise leader in power play goals. +4 as well.

Hopefully he goes on a second half tear. He's such an elite player when he's healthy. I suspect he's been dealing with some lingering injury effects from earlier in the year. Can't question his heart though, such a gamer and a professional.

Tkachuk with a mercenary-like 4 points and even +/- rating. almost everything on the PP. He had 9 shots on goal alone.

This team really needs to go on a tear just to get back into the playoff picture. I hope they can, if only for the optics after last year, but it will be tough.

I think the amount of teams involved and the schedule is the biggest issue for them now...one team might crash and burn but they all won't

I have no doubt the Panthers are better than the Red Wings, Sabres, and Senators, and will be ahead of them in the standings at the end of the year.

But you're right, there are a few teams ahead of them that I worry they won't catch.

Right now you have 3 teams battling for 2 wild card spots: Penguins, Islanders, Rangers. The underlying numbers suggest they are for real.

Some other teams on the bubble are the Lightning and the Capitals. I suspect the Caps are not as good as their current record suggests and may fall from grace. I never count out the Lightning anymore, so forget that.

Really, the Panthers seem destined for a 9th place finish at best, but then again, there's enough talent on the team to see them rip it up and put themselves right back in the picture.

Lots of hockey left to be played. It's the same reason why I wouldn't count out the Flames yet either. I think the best for both teams is yet to come.

Now the Blue Jackets on the other hand...sigh.

Favourable OOT for the flames so far.

Canucks lose.
Wild lose.
AVS currently up 4-2 on the Kings after the 2nd.

The Coyotes were down 3-2 in the third period and have comeback to take a 4-3 lead over the stinkin' Leafs.

Jokes aside, from a broadcast perspective the Mullett Arena is pretty great. Lighting is terrific.

Moser tied it on the power play. McBain with the go ahead goal and the empty net goal to make it 5-3 Coyotes.

Didn’t think it was possible but this Avs crew might actually be worse than Michaels and DeBrusk.

Really hope the Panthers go on complete nose dive. Will be awesome seeing Maurice the great and generational Tkachuk spend the playoffs watching 16 teams from the Costanza residence.

The Sharks blow a 3-1 third period lead.
The Flyers make a terrific comeback to win it in overtime! A rookie goalie was in net for the Flyers.
