Flames 2023 Flames Predictions

Thought it warranted it's own thread...

Starting with Salim Valji

Quote:
Current Leafs general manager Kyle Dubas is the final season of his deal as well and should the two sides move on, I think Treliving will immediately become Toronto’s top target as their next head of hockey operations.
Treliving pulls a Cliff Fletcher and becomes the Toronto Head of Hockey Operations...

Me: Edmonton will still be No Good.

Treliving goes to Toronto
Darryl takes over GM
Treliving immediately fleeces Sutter in a trade that makes Leeman for Gilmour look even.
Sutter resigns Lucic for 5 years and makes him captain.

I finally hand in my fan card.

Salim also predicted that Sutter would be out and Mueller in after the season a year ago. I don’t see Sutter wanting to be the GM.

I don’t see how the Flames make the third round and Treliving moves on which Salim is predicting.

Salam is reassigned to Toronto and we never have to hear his garbage and dumb questions again.

Jermaine Franklin returns and gives him a Stunner.

I swear I've heard nothing of this Salim guy until yesterday

who cares about some hot take predictions

Darryl will not take up the GM role again. I don't mind treliving moving on. his rebuild failed and he had a sold 8 year run to figure it out. saved his bacon at the end but now the Tkachuk gaudreau era is behind us

I'd like to see the team employ more of a focus on youth going forward. because in 2 years or so we're headed for a rebuild whether we like it or not. unless some miraculous work and drafting is done in the meantime

a new perspective up top might be best for that

Stability at the top is important I hope Treliving is given a 5 year deal.

If Sutter has any input on player moves we are doomed.

If so, is Jay Feaster still available?

Flames win percentage starts coming together as teammates gel and line combo's formed; Markstrom steals some games and Vladar can spell him off and keep us contending. Our PP improves and we make at least the semi-finals.

Flames are 3-1 in the semis, by far our best round. I like your prediction.

Mike Babcock is the new head coach of the flames.

Sutter is the New GM.

Joyti Gondak gets her solar panels.

Vladdy Tarasenko rides shotgun with Hubby. It turns into a special production called two boys, one cup.

Hubredeau - Kadri - Tarasenko
Dube - Lindholm - Toffoli
Mangipane - Backlund - Coleman

This is something I can get behind.

I just don't think the Flames have the trade capital for a big name like that unless they are putting their 2023 1st or Coronato on the table.
I still think Scorp is on to something with the Max Domi suggestion. Fits salary wise and in terms of being a fairly acquirable player.
