Agreed Cecil. Happy that Lewis, Looch and Ritchie are no higher than 4th, happy that Rooney is a scratch, unhappy that there is no opportunity for Pelltier and/or Philips . They have scored 3 goals in 3 games... what is the harm? I love Sutter but come on...

Dammit Vladar, we get black jerseys and you're still going with the white setup! If ever there was anyone who needed to crush an all black set of gear, its him.

Some of these combinations have already been tried and did not look great, so I would temper expectations. At the very least, I would hope that this is the norm for at least a couple of weeks so that the players can settle in and try to establish some consistency.

Like the look of those lines. Ruzicka on Backlund’s wing is a good move IMO
I love it too. Ruzicka has been scoring but not sure if it continues at the same pace, but I feel his strength as a player is playing along the boards. Put him and that line keep it simple keep it in the other team's zone and chip in some offense.

The good thing is that the push from the farm is inescapable. Everyone can hear the footsteps. The 20 game segment is over. Time to gel is over. Produce now or next man up.
As much as I want to see Phillips/Pelletier get called up, I think it is worth seeing how these lines mesh for 2-3 games.
Don’t agree. We all know that fourth line is going to be either caved or have players promoted into the top nine. Bring a skill player up and then shift someone like Dube down to the fourth to make that line better. Lucic needs to sit as he’s useless and is harming the team.
That also assumes that these lines will 1) actually work. 2) even if they do work they likely won’t gel in 2-3 games 3) Sutter won’t tinker again and not give the players minutes together to grow but instead keep hitting shuffle 4) some defensive injury will happen again and make the cap not as friendly for bringing up a call up. Bring up an actual skilled forward and push the dregs out.

Sutter kept his lines and pairings together most of last season, literally.
It's not like he doesn't have a history of going with what works. You and he may differ on the timeline for how long he wants to try something, but there's this history dictates he goes with what works when he finds it.

Feel like the Kadri line could use a shakeup. I would swap one of dube/mang with ruzicka. Both of those guys have had some success with Backlund and I feel like that second line has gone a bit stale and could use the upswing of Rosie right now

They were 5-1 and had some pretty good metrics. They had beaten some good teams. Then they lost to Edmonton and he hit shuffle. He’s not stopped hitting it since so yeah I have to say I don’t agree with you right now.
