He stepped up and tried to make an impact, with some big hits and a fight. And he was not particularly noticeable defensively (not a bad thing). Can't ask for any more than that from the guy.

I thought he was serviceable. A good call option going forward, for sure.
DeSimone staying up for now I guess, till Stone or Kylington are ready to go.

He came as advertised-good skater, physical, and tough. I thought he did well.

I was a bit surprised that Mackey got into the lineup last game ahead of DeSimone. It seemed like Darryl was more satisfied with the performance of the latter in previous games.
