ESPN power ranking number one has now lost 3 games in the last week. Colorado lost again. Boston is certainly deserving of their ranking. Pittsburgh losers of two straight passed Calgary who beat them convincingly. Calgary somehow drops from 2 to 5 despite winning their games this week.
Yeah I know I’m just annoyed at ESPN for their awful hockey coverage. I was just pleasantly surprised last week when they bumped Calgary to two and then they dropped them. I guess maybe Buffalos game came in with this weeks ranking and tbh that was a stinker.
Boston has really dominated teams so that’s a plus to go along with their 8-1 record. But looking at their schedule they’ve had a really weak schedule. Florida and Dallas are their strongest opponents. Like should we be shocked they’re thumping teams like Anaheim, Columbus, Arizona, Minnesota and Washington?

Minnesota and Washington were playoff teams last year…so wouldn’t say they are absolutely terrible even with a rough start.
Unrelated but I hate when the virtual boards have road team ads on them, I shouldnt be watching a Coyotes-Jets game from Arizona and see “Go Jets Go” on the boards.
I think JG13 is exactly where he wants to be, no pressure to win it all, no one holding him to task on his 2 way game, just put up decent points and cruise.

Yes and no. You don’t reach the upper reaches of pro sports by not being a competitive spirit.
At least a small part of him feels pain seeing the Flames at the top and Columbus at the bottom. He’ll feel some pangs of regret if Flames win it all, I am sure.
