The boards are simply awful and horribly distracting, which I guess is the point, cuz your eyes are drawn to the ads. It looks AWFUL.
The sound and play on ice is terribly out of synch.
Rogers online streaming is unreliable and gave me error after error after error. This is a paid service. I wound up going to Mario while I resolved the issue. Mario worked right away and in HD.
Since there's no competition and Rogers is the only provider of national games, I think we as consumers ought to have some sort of protection from this anti competitive dog #### we're being forced to purchase if we want to watch hockey.

We should have some sort of Government sponsored Canadian Broadcasting Corporation that is in charge of televising all of the games in Canada.
And since we'd be paying for it out of our Tax Dollars we wouldnt need ads! Or commercials!
There should be a branch of the government, perhaps we could call them the CRTC, that acts in the best interests of citizens, instead of colluding with Rogers and Bell

Sportsnet sucks and so does Rogers. Rogers owes me $200. Rogers if you’re reading this, please PM me and we can arrange payment.
Have they fixed their absolutely ####ty app too? My god, that was pure garbage last year. I will never forget or forgive game 5 OT Flames Oilers and the app crapped out… again… for like the 7 millionth time last season. Thank god I don’t have to deal with such a crappy app anymore.
Oh my, that is still way too long! Rogers is terrible
I get my SN channels through Bell Satellite TV, which is so over compressed now. The computer overlaid ads make it even worse, as the jitterbug messes up the compression. It was bad with even the overlaid ads on the glass, but these board ads are much worse.
What is the best way to watch Flames games on TV, in terms of picture quality and then also production quality?
Is it Mario? The problem there is I only have a 100 mbps internet service available here rurally.
Is it Direct TV? Or do they just replicate the SN feed?
Does it help with compression if I get a 4k Satellite service? I'll have to downconvert that to 1080p for a while as a new TV is not immediate.
I'm willing to pay, lots if needed, or pirate whatever I need to. I'm just sick of horrible picture quality, and want to watch my hockey games clearly!!!
The ads have reached the unbearable point for me. The end result is that I am going to watch less hockey.
Probably trending towards stopping watching hockey entirety because after watching less the ads feel even worse when you come back. It sucks, but that is the reality.

The NHL expects there to be an adjustment period for fans, but that it'll ultimately improve their viewing experience. The league worked with two analytics companies, and Wachtel said research indicated that fans will be more comfortable watching a game with one brand wrapping around the boards than "26 different things that your eye can catch." He said that was confirmed by the research firm MediaScience, which does neurometric eye-scanning.
"Like anything else, you're going to have your people that don't like it, that think it is difficult to watch. But over time, like everything else, people will get used to it, and we're not concerned at all whatsoever," Wachtel said.
It does not, at all. These people see so many dollar signs flashing in front of their faces they are blind to reality. It's super distracting having ads change in the middle of play. I'll probably watch less hockey becuase of it. I wish Ublock Origin had a hockey extension...

Your mistake is purchasing their junk. Nobody is forcing you to buy their crap. Take it from someone who struggled with GC for a couple years trying to do the right thing, only to go back to what's always worked for me and no issues since.
Freedom is a couple clicks or a google search away.
