The story doesn’t sound good, he hasn’t made a statement and he’s deleted his social media…

Rumours on Reddit are that he raped a staff member at his resort and assaulted another employee when they tried to intervene. All the employees walked out as a result and the lodge and restaurant were forced to close.

The employees say it's a normalized thing too. Like it's par for the course at this event. They just had enough.

Man, Willie Mitchell IIRC was always painted as one of the good guys . Guess the wool fell off of the wolf.

The news story I read says he just grabbed a server and started making out with her and took her to the bathroom. Then came back and was full on super creep after. Thats when they all walked out.

If he wants some one to defend him, get Holland to offer him a PTO and sign it immediately. The whole city of Edmonton will be behind him and find all sort of excuses.

I don't know what it is about hockey culture, but we keep hearing about stuff like this, and things need to change fast. I feel nauseous right now.

Mostly uneducated teenager athletes pampered an protected for their talents their entire lives. Really muddies the right and wrongs of the world when you're sheltered and protected from the rest of it. Not defending the individuals but placing more blame on the system and culture .

Since their talent drives billion dollar sports leagues, one has to wonder that for the system to correct, the entire thing might have to be brought down. And I'm talking about the entire global sports business as a while. Not just one sport.

Sadly, that isn't going to happen. Unless people choose to stop supporting leagues who protect the criminals their development and culture system creates.

I'm sure he wasn't like this at all while he was playing...

Imagine all the #### they have buried, are hiding and will hide. The better the talent, the more rope they have

There isn't an organization not hiding something imo. If the full truth was out there, the collateral damage would be catastrophic
