Default Kadri more motivated by historic day with Cup? Promises to "run it back" with Flames

Kadri's historic day with the Stanley Cup and his promise to "run it back" with the Flames this year.

I find his confidence and outlook refreshing.

Somehow I believe him more than when Gaudreau and Tkachuk said such things.

They'd talk of the importance and excitement of playoff & rival games and then not show up on the ice... routinely.

He has something more than that, he has edge.

He's a guy that will drag his team into the fight, kicking and screaming if need be.

I just really hope he doesnt lose that edge with either age or comfort in a new long-term contract.

I like the Kadri signing more and more as I get more familiar with his personality.

Yeah, I don’t know if edge is really more than authenticity, kind of a totally different thing. I agree though he does play with an edge.

I think we got more competitive spirit added to the room this offseason

Listen he is/was a liability in the playoffs. His multiple suspensions were a detriment to his team.

However, I did like his confidence when he responded to those critics saying kiss my ass. It doesn't change the fact that he did stupid things, but he's got the ability to come back from that mentally and contribute, as we saw last season.

Hopefully he continues to be hungry and confident.
