Default Ipods

Anyone Have an Ipod? If so..what kind do you have?

I have the 60GB Ipod...its great. Holds 15,000 songs...Right now I just have 2000 songs on it. This Ipod has saved me so much money as I use to buy cds like crazy..but not anymore.

I have a 4GB ipod mini. I got it in november, right now have about 600 songs, but once finals are over, I plan to expand it to around 1000. My dad is getting an ipod for his retirement gift, he is so excited about it that he mentions it almost every day.

Hmmm, I thought that whole point of a 60 GB one was for all the videos it would store.

15,000 songs just seem too unpracticaL for me.

How come? that way you wont have to keep on changing your music...you just keep on adding, and less deleting.

I had a 20 gig ipod. It crapped out (the screen cracked, didn't really take much abuse) apparently there is/was a weak spot in the ipod screen. I called them up as I only had it a few months, and they told me to buy a new one. That was the first thing he said. Now I understand if you don't repair certain things, but the first thing I should hear from them is sorry we don't repair that because..... not, "oooh, you could buy a new one".

Obviously I was less than impressed. I went out the next week and bought a creative zen, and to be honest I actually like it more than my ipod. I find the software that came with it to be better, the battery is replaceable meaning when it starts wearing down I can just order a new one, or buy a new one in town somewhere, and pop it in myself. I also noticed on my Ipod that the screen scratched up extremely easily, where as my zen is put in my backpack all the time, and is still crystal clear, (I've had it about 4 months now.)

I was pretty impressed with my ipod when I got it, but I'm more impressed with the creative zen so far. It just seems so much more durable. Plus it comes with a fancy leather case. The downside is that it is a little bit bigger than the ipod at least mine is, but its the older version of the zen I do believe.. I think the newer versions are more compact.

My zen is 30gigs and I got it at Memory express for 285 bucks or so...

My bro's ipod just crapped out on him for the second time (his first one had to be sent back after 2 weeks) and I'm probably going to be picking up a creative for him. Maybe the newer version with the touch pad or whatever it is called..

Plays MP4. I have a few dvds on it and the quality is great. Battery life is about 3 hours for video. So if you're going on a long road trip, I recommend a car charger.

i love my creative player, the zen xtra 30 GB..its not too pretty, but very functional, great price, and sounds great..

why are the newest zens trying to look like ipod's? they actually are pretty ugly IMO..ipods look much nicer..they should be marketing themselves as an alternative to ipod

Can I be your friend?

The video is actually pretty good on the new iPods. I am a HUGE Apple supporter and I was a little skeptical when they first came out but on seeing it, you could definatly watch really comfortably. Remember, this is not a video iPod, it's a new iPod that also plays video. Once (if) h.264 video becomes more accepted with Winblows users, it may be common to download the morning news automatically, throw it on your iPod and watch it on the c-train on your way to work.

Having 15,000 songs on an iPod dosen't sound impractical to me. Having binders and racks full of cds, now that sounds impractical.
