Another big forward with underwhelming scoring. But ... it's the seventh round.

Who’s still left with overwhelming scoring?
Not saying this is a great pick or anything, but at least he’s a top liner on his junior team. Not sure how good the Wenatchee wild are though.

Seems like perhaps a bit of a shift in drafting profile for the Flames this year...

Littler is the son of a longtime coach and team executive, and you can see that beneficial influence in the fine details in the player’s game. He is an aggressively competitive pivot who plays with pace and physicality. There is an abundance of force and momentum generated when he flies around the ice, with long, powerful skating strides, though his balance and edges could improve.

I'm curious to know how many 7th rounders played in the NHL the last 3 seasons or so.

He is committed to Minnesota State, which has been one of the stronger programs in the NCAA in recent years. They were runners-up in the Frozen Four this year, in their second-straight Frozen Four appearance.

I always say if you get a chance to take a player from East Wenatchee (the best Wentachee) - you have to take it.

61 seventh round picks have played at least one game in the NHL over the last three seasons (50 skaters and 11 goalies).
18 skaters have played at least 100 games over the last three seasons, and 5 goalies have played at least 50 games.

Hope he makes it to the show. Be super sweet to find a 7th rounder who makes the roster.

8 of Colorado’s starting 12 forwards were under 6’1 so they proved the importance of size up front this year.

As long as hockey is a contact sport, size in some shape or form will be important, and any GM will tell you that. Avs had some 6 footers, but they were offset somewhat by 6’4” Nichushkin, 6’4” Rantanen and 6’3” Burakovsky, while players like 6’1” Landeskog, 6’0”Kadri, and 6’0”MacKinnon are thick and play much bigger and/or meaner. Want proof that size matters in the NHL? Look at what players rose in the draft, and what players fell. And who did the Avs get before the deadline? 6’3”Josh Manson, and 6’3”Nico Sturm.
