How is Kase still an RFA, it seems like he's been around forever.

Holy ####. I can't believe they didn't qualify Sam steel. I know he's fallen down their depth chart for center, but the guy is a gamer. I watched him for 3 years in Regina. Worth a flyer. Very responsible, hard working center

I wonder if Sutter could make a player out of Svechnikov. He has a lot of good tools but just can't seem to put it together consistently. He only had 7 goals and 19 point (three disallowed goals). He seems like a good character as well. I know some Jets fans a little irritated that he wasn't qualified.

Evgeni Svechnikov? Yeah, take a flyer for sure
Kase is a curious case if injury and reliability. Killer player, made of glass
Kubalik, can a Sutter type coach bring the rest of his game up to par with his offensive talents? I'd take a Flyer.
Some interesting names for sure. There's an opportunity maybe to completely revamp the bottom 6 fws.

Local kid, solid talent who can produce from a third line role.
Don't know the price tag but would be very interested.
If Vegas does indeed let him get to free agency, I would be surprised if the Flames weren't all over it. Big, hard working, defensive C, who contributes a little offense- Sutter would love him.
I'd also look at H Borgstrom, who wasn't qualified by Chicago. Was selected by Florida and has a lot of good tools, was projected to be a really vood #2 C, worth a look for sure.

Yeah, Borgstrom is still a project defensively, but he has some tools. 6'3" and 200 pounds, with puck skills as a center. I think he'd also be a good pickup for the farm team.

i read in the Athletic that over the weekend N Aube-Kubel had his day with the cup.
I guess it was nice for him to have that day before he was not qualified - of course that assumes that he and his agent had no idea this was going to happen.
