Default No Hart, but Gaudreau shows his heart in playoffs

Gaudreau has taken a beating in the past as a guy who shrinks in the playoffs.

Tough to say that now. Against a really good and physical Stars team that is extremely under rated as a group, and punishing on guys like Gaudreau and Mangiapane, Gaudreau keeps getting up. Keeps producing.

A point-per-game pace in the first round against a checking team as big as the Stars is a huge accomplishment.

Great article. Very happy to see Johnny adapt his game to the playoffs as I do believe that was missing in the past. Really cool to see the changes he’s made to be a better pro.

I’m not sure I’d call his playoffs a “huge accomplishment” to this point. He’s still yet to score an any kind of strength goal — it’s nice to see a few assists sure but he’s not being paid for a few assists, he’s being paid to be a key offensive player and that still hasn’t happened

Have you not watched the games? He is the key offensive player.

Are you perhaps thinking of Tkachuk?

Gaudreau has 6 points and 5 of them are at even strength? And if he wasn't facing a goalie who's playing out of his mind he could easily have more. Gaudreau has finally showed up in a playoff series. It's Tkachuk that's been disappointing.

Johnny is 100% a must-sign as far as I'm concerned. I was still a little skeptical about "playoff Johnny" but that's gone now. This guy is legit in all situations, and I am very much afraid of what this team would be without him.

NO ONE can say he can't get it done in the playoffs anymore!!! Most amazing goal I've ever seen in the most critical moment possible!

PAY. THE. MAN.
