Good for him if so. Would be glad for him to be in a competitive team to finish up his career rather than stuck on the Kraken or finishing off as a journeyman.

Hell...considering Real Estate right now I would too. Regardless of whether he plans to come back or not, now is the time to sell.
Although, is it CBA mandated that all NHLers Homes have to be soulless? Or is it just easier seeing as they have to come and go a lot.

Looks like an office building or a dentist's office. I'd be selling too.

It looks like a home designed by a Dentist.

I guess when you spent all your time at the Dome. Anything clean and on the newer side will do just fine.

I think Gio is going to stay in Toronto for cheap. When he was on the Kraken I thought he would come back here cheap next year but then after his move to Toronto I believe that is where he will want to end his career

Moving full time to T.O.?
Every one i know who leaves their residence here for Ontario wishes they'd stayed in Calgary within about 3 months.
Calgary might not be as exciting and bustling as other population centres, but it is more home-y and beautiful than many north of the border and it has a sneaky way of nestling its way into your heart, especially once you've left.

Maybe he's planning on having more kids and so is actually upgrading, not relocating

He is a Toronto boy and you have to think he's not ecstatic about how it ended here.

I think he’ll only get offers of one year deals and Toronto isn’t a lock to be one. Will be curious to see where he finishes out his career.
Doesn’t make much sense to keep a couple mil tied up in a home here. He’s not going to be back.

I’m going to assume that being amazingly wealthy helps the transition.

Yeah, but $62 million in career earnings has sneaky way of making wherever you choose to be awfully home-y and beautiful.....

He trains in the GTA during the off-season, and has likely been planning to return home once his playing career is over.

And the transient nature of being an NHL player usually means that you have 'A Home' and you have some houses that come and go.
Say what you will but Gio will probably still make some money on this house, I dont know how much and it doesnt really matter.

True.
I'm not (yet) familiar with transitioning to cities with 50-100 mil in pocket.

How big of a house does one need for just over half a year residence?
