An argument can be made for any one of those three. No matter who ultimately wins, it'll be well deserved.

Is Markstrom already the 3rd best goalie in Calgary Flames history?

Great season for Markstrom. Good to see him get recognition by being a finalist. Shesterkin has been discussed as the winner for months now, it seems, though

totally different eras, and the ability to evaluate goaltenders was also different back then but Lemelin was a Vezina 'finalist' (using modern parameters) twice at least during his term in Calgary

What a great signing by the Flames. Markstrom has been what I hoped he would be this season and looks great in the playoffs so far

I'd agree we need a few more excellent seasons out of Markstrom before he overtakes Lemelin.

Not yet. But if he goes to R2 or R3 this year, then definitely yes.

Shesterkin had a fantastic regular season, but Markström has been better in the playoffs (so far), and I'd rather have that.

I thought the votes were based on the regular season though?

I don’t like it when sports fans try to lump in playoff performance for regular season trophies. NBA fans are doing the same thing to discredit Jokic’s MVP win this year. There’s a Conn Smythe trophy for a reason. Igor is definitely gonna win it but I’m glad Marky is a finalist. Feels good to have a great goalie between the pipes again that’s worthy enough of being up for the Vezina

Well, it's already been won or lost. "Finalists" is a bit of a misnomer since there's no finals to compete in.

Pat Riggin played great getting the Flames to the third round.
I think Markstrom needs more than one good season.

Awesome, should be the end of the not elite and only homers think he is a top tier goalie talk.
NHL GMs are Flames homers?

A Swede, a Finn and a Russian.
Maybe we dodged a bullet not going to the Olympics this year...

I was so jacked when Treliving signed him. And I remain so. Markstrom is an elite goalie.
I think Shesterkin likely won it, but that doesn't negate the fact that Markstrom had a great season.

Of course it doesn't, that's why he is a finalist

Top 3 player in his position in the best league in the world, pretty special and doesn't happen too often
Vezina finalists in Flames history?
Kipper, Markstrom, Vernon...that's it I think
